Chrome Web Store User Data Policy Compliance

Overview

Multi-AI Chat's use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Our Commitments

1. Limited Use of Data

We only use data for the single purpose of enabling multi-AI prompt functionality:

Prompt text is used solely to inject into AI chatbot input fields
Tab information is used solely to manage AI chatbot sessions
Storage is used to hold prompts and session history — locally on your device, and (only if you create an account and log in) synced to our server so it is not lost across browser reinstalls or devices
Account credentials (email and password) are used solely to create and authenticate your optional account
Anonymous diagnostic and error information is used solely to detect and fix problems in the extension

2. No Data Transfer to Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties. The only transfers that occur are:

Directly to the AI chatbot services the user has enabled (for example Gemini, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, DeepSeek, and other supported services) — the user initiates and controls which services receive their prompts
To our own first-party server (api.multi-ai.chat), solely to authenticate your optional account, sync your session history when you are logged in, and receive anonymous diagnostics — this data is necessary for the relevant functionality and is not shared onward with any third party

3. No Secondary Use

We do not use or transfer user data for:

Serving advertisements
Marketing purposes
Selling data to third parties
Creditworthiness or lending purposes
Any purpose unrelated to the extension's core functionality

4. No Human Access

User data is not read by humans except:

With explicit user consent
For security purposes (investigating abuse)
To comply with applicable law
For limited aggregated, anonymized internal operations

5. Data Security

We protect user data with security practices appropriate to its sensitivity:

By default, prompts, session history, and preferences are stored locally on the user's device
If you create an account, your email, password, and synced session history are transmitted to and stored on our server (api.multi-ai.chat); anonymous diagnostic information may also be sent there
All communication with AI services and with our server occurs over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services
